Ladies and Gentleman, today's trip will feature a joyful selection of the best tunes from ZZ Top, The British Columbians, The Heavy, Toadies, The White Stripes, and many many more.
The complete playlist, much to my regret, will not be published just yet. The reason being: Movember
For those of you who don't have a clue what this is or think that my spelling has gone south, this is an initiative from a bunch of Aussie Moustaches that considering the amount of support breast cancer has, decided to set up a little fundraising project for the prostate cancer. What better way to advertise it than promoting the "one man, one moustache" idea.
Now that I've explained this, please don't be surprised when you see me on November 1st with a somehow "distinctive" look.
On top of that, and as part of the same initiative, I am planning to publish one rock song a day, hence the fact that I cannot publish just yet the whole list. Not sure how good the music fits with the roar of the twin exhausts from the 103" engine but let's see.
In the meantime, I leave you in the loving and caring hands of a group of gentlemen called "The Cult", whose latest tour "Electric 13" has a similar logo than the Movember one:
On their last album "Weapon of Choice" the had this pure rock piece... "Honey from a Knife"
Running down Lafayette...

Amber Whiskey
It had to be THAT color.
Just got confirmed that the beauty is Amber Whiskey.
A little taste of it:
This is what I'll find on friday morning when I go pick her
up. From them, home to "pack up" or at least check what I can fit in
her bags (no backpacks allowed), how to set up the BoomBox and the Android
telephone (Spotify please).
I've taken the day off so the thing will have a kick start
by taking the kids to school, I can't normally do that but considering that I'm
going to spend the whole weekend on my own, it's the least I can do!
Then "Hit the Road Jack", where I will spend most
of my time. Total distance guesstimated is around 1100km (680 miles) and the
initial idea is to take A3 headed for Valencia, then go south to Albacete,
Murcia and finally Agua Amarga. Return will be through Almería, Granada and
straight to Madrid.
I'm going to take it really easy. I'm not used to ride that
much so I'm already counting with a nice flat ass on monday. Quite worth it to
be honest. Not too worried about hands & arms thanks to Harley's cruise
control.
I'll also make frequent stop-overs to take thousands of pics
and enjoy like a baby. Of course will try to broadcast via mobile as much as I
can.
The thoughts are coming more and more at random but please
bear with me with this one. Anxiety is kicking in and just by being able to
transmit half of what's going on my head right now will be an achievement!
Of languages and blogs (start here)
Just as a little note / disclaimer / clarification / younameit
This is the english version for my blog called "Gliding the Road". In it, I try to tell the amazing journey that I'm about to experience riding a Harley-Davidson from Madrid to Almería and back.
The origin of all this is a prize I won after filling out an online form. Surprisingly enough, this things happen and yes, there are winners. I can say that first-hand since I'm one of them.
The idea of the blog is more for me to keep some memories rather than to try and make all my friends jealous. Let's just say that will be "collateral damage".
I really hope you enjoy what I'm about to experience and that I am able to transmit as faithfully as possible.
Please feel at home.
